Reason #20 to Vote Blue on Nov 5
Fred Trump III, Donald Trump’s nephew said, “I believe in policy over politics, and without question Kamala Harris’s policies are what I’ll get behind. So I will be voting for Kamala Harris, and if I am asked, I will campaign for her without hesitation.” He perceives Donald Trump to be without empathy, recounting conversations about disabled people where the former President’s view was that they should just die. (Listen to Fred Trump on video below.)
Mary Trump, Donald Trump’s Niece wrote on “X”: “I finally agree with Donald: It would be a huge mistake to elect the oldest candidate in American history,” she wrote, adding the hashtag “#KamalaHarris2024.”
Mary Trump has written two books about her family: (1) Too Much and Never Enough: How My Family Created the World’s Most Dangerous Man, and (2) Who Could Ever Love You: A Family Memoir. [To be released Sep 10.] She has a PhD in psychology.
Republican Mayor John Giles of Mesa, AZ, said he would support Kamala Harris. “It’s a matter of character, and silence is not an option.” Listen to his full statement in the above video.
Former Lt Governor Geoffrey Duncan of Georgia (Republican) said he would vote for Harris. “We are a better party without Donald Trump. I know millions of Republicans don’t see that, but they will one day. They’ll be embarrassed. I’ve been behind the curtain with Donad Trump, everybody that’s been behind the curtain with Donald Trump and watched him make decisions knows that he’s reckless on a good day and dangerous on a bad day. That’s the most optimistic way to put it.
Liz Cheney: “We know he tried once not to leave office. He will have no incentive to guarantee a peaceful transfer of power and to leave office if he is elected again. I certainly have policy differences with the Biden administration. But I know the nation can survive bad policy. We can’t survive a president who is willing to torch the Constitution.”
Cassidy Hutchinson, former secretary to White House Chief of Staff, Mark Meadows, in the final days of the Trump Presidency: With Trump pledging to fire government employees and reinstate his loyalists to their positions, this election is about “the survival of our country,” Hutchinson said. “If we want to continue having elections in the future, we need to make sure we vote for the candidate who ensures we can survive as a country,” she said. “And that candidate isn’t Donald Trump.”
